The blog formerly known as Heidelbergerin...now throwing a 3rd country into the crosshairs!
Hi CN,glad you are back because I missed reading your posts. I don't know where the 1st place is but my guess is you were somewhere in northern Germany - Lüneburger Heide, Friesland - am I close? But the red roofs throw me off. I thought those were usually found in southern Germany so my second guess is the Elsass. Looks like a very pretty area...
You're right about the Lueneburger Heide, that's one of the pictures. :) Three of the pictures are places in Nordfriesland!
Luneburger Heide for sure, the North Sea coast as well, but I'd really like to know where that enormous ship is.
Picture #1 looks interesting: Bangalore, India?
#11 looks amazing!
Place #1: Wernigerode?Place #2: Wernigerode in Saxony-Anhalt because of the letters "nigeröd".Place #3: Lower Saxony because of the Saxon SteedPlace #5: Northern Germany (Lower Saxony or Saxony-Anhalt) because of a) the Low Saxon language:"En Vörbild is för uns dat Swien: Dat wiest uns, as wie nich schöllt sien!" (High German translation: "Das Schwein ist für uns ein Vorbild: Es zeigt uns, wie wir nicht sein sollten!") b) the Saxon Steed.Place #7: somewhere in Denmark because of the words "Skind & Pind"Place #10: Denmark because of the Danish flagPicture #8, #9 and #11: North Frisia or Denmark because of the water related theme and the order of appearance
I know that ship in picture 11 but don't remember exactly where I've seen it... Is it at the Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum in Bremerhaven? And place #9 could be the Eidersperrwerk near Tönning?
You guys are awesome.#2 is indeed Wernigerode. No one mentioned which one they thought was the Lueneburger Heide but it's probably obvious it's #4. :)#3 is, yes, a town in Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen, I'm actually better with the German names for the states...). #5 is also a town in Niedersachsen!#7 and #10 are in Denmark :)#9 is the Eidersperrwerk! My next post is going to give away #1.
Last one looks like the Vasa to me. In Stockholm.
Yep, #11 is the Vasa! :)
I GUESS NEBRASKA
